Fortune500 company, American Express (AMEX), is a global financial services company with total revenue of
around US$33.4 billion.
Their Global Merchant Services (GMS) division offer credit card products to businesses to help make transactions
easier and safer.
The AMEX GMS Acquisition Division send a regular email sales bulletin to their teams and other AMEX business units sharing snapshot results and key wins.
They wanted a way to create and present these reports to internal teams that was branded, concise and entertaining. The bulletin should arrive in inboxes and people should feel
excited to open it.

We brainstormed a new name for the sales bulletin, ‘GMS Acquisitions Insights’, and then customised a branded email banner and editable MS Word template that could
be populated in-house.
So, every month, the latest stats for each project, sector, program and signing could be uploaded into the Word documents, saved into Outlook and sent in an instant.

EMAIL BANNER DESIGN
This banner is the visual marker for all internal communications, and communicated the GMS themes
of ‘growth, locations and business?signings’.
By understanding AMEX’s desire to remain independent, Ideaseed created a bespoke Word template, generated through Outlook.
The bulletin communicates important new client signings, early engagement statistics and strategic alliances.
The simplicity of the template means users work autonomously, yet still design sleek, branded documents. The infographics provided a simple, entertaining way to deliver critical business information. Teams are kept up to date and engaged.
